The field task
When returning later, choose the exact saved record instead of assuming similarly named places are interchangeable. Check the capture context if the entrance has changed or the displayed distance seems unexpected. Delete obsolete records deliberately. For important locations, make a separate export before a device change and verify that the exported coordinates and notes describe the place you intended.
A saved Waymark place carries a name, coordinates, capture time and accuracy at capture, with optional notes and a photo. It is a bookmark for a real location rather than a street-address search result. A place saved from a weak fix keeps that original uncertainty; a later, better reading does not rewrite the evidence that existed when the place was captured.
A repeatable sequence
Stored data can be available when current-position calculations are not.

After the session
A user checks an old bookmark before granting location access. This is an illustrative scenario, not measured field-test evidence.
Reopen the place after saving and read its name, note and coordinate information. Search works across names and notes, so descriptive text is more useful than a series of identical labels. A photo can help recognise a gate or parking area, but it is supporting context. Find It Back still uses the saved coordinate and the current location, not an interpretation of the photo.
Quick reference
| Item | Meaning | Keep in mind |
|---|---|---|
| Saved coordinate | The captured or entered destination | Does not choose a road or entrance automatically |
| Accuracy at capture | Uncertainty retained with the record | A later fix does not rewrite it |
| Current distance | Direct distance from current location | Needs current position and is not a route length |
