Waymark processes GPS locations on your device while the app is in the foreground. Trips and places stay in an encrypted local database. Optional photos are stored in the app’s private documents directory. The app does not require an account and has no analytics or advertising SDK.
Permissions you choose
Location enables speed, distance and current coordinates. Optional camera or photo-picker access lets you attach images. Device biometrics are handled by the operating system; Waymark receives an authentication result. You can use manual coordinate entry without allowing current location.
When you share
CSV exports and opening coordinates in another app are explicit actions you initiate. Those files can contain location and trip details. The receiving app or service applies its own privacy terms. Review a file before sharing it.
Your controls
Settings lets you manage permissions, app lock and clear saved trips, places and memories, including photos. There is no account to delete. Uninstalling may remove local records; export anything you want to retain first.
This website
This site has no advertising or analytics scripts. Theme and saved-article preferences use your browser’s local storage. The tools run locally without asking for your location. Vercel hosts the website and may process technical requests such as IP addresses and access logs to serve and secure it. Fonts are bundled with this website and do not require a separate font-service request.
