The field task
End the outing with a short review while the context is still fresh. Save and label the trip, inspect important place bookmarks and make any export you actually need. Distinguish an illustrative example from your own observations. Useful notes describe what happened, such as a pause or a location interruption, without trying to turn an approximate phone record into a formal guarantee.
A field workflow combines several small Waymark actions: choosing a profile, checking location state, starting and saving a trip, naming a place and later returning to it. The useful sequence depends on what you need to remember. The app provides measurements and local records; it does not replace an access plan, an appropriate map, a vehicle instrument or an independent way to find your route.
A repeatable sequence
Old capture context does not automatically update when surroundings change.
- Read saved names
- Check identifying notes
- Remove obsolete duplicates deliberately
After the session
A user revisits several places from an earlier outing. This is an illustrative scenario, not measured field-test evidence.
At each natural stop, check the state that matters for the task instead of opening every screen. A live speed check, a saved trip summary and a Find It Back bearing are separate tools. If your plan depends on a feature that Waymark does not provide, use another appropriate tool explicitly. Do not assume that a visual route demonstration on a website is a recorded navigation route in the app.
Quick reference
| Item | Meaning | Keep in mind |
|---|---|---|
| Instrument check | Read current speed and GPS state | Does not require a saved trip |
| Trip record | Start, stop, save and review | Foreground use matters |
| Return bookmark | Save a place and recognise it later | Direct guidance does not plan the physical route |
