Keep latitude and longitude in the correct order and include the signs or hemisphere letters that the original source supplies. Review the recognised format and resulting position before saving. A normal street address is not a coordinate pair, and a short link without visible coordinate information may not be readable offline. The parser should reject uncertain input rather than quietly guess a destination.
Waymark can display coordinates in several formats and accepts supported numeric coordinate input on the device. Decimal degrees, degrees and minutes or seconds, recognised full plus codes and coordinate-bearing map links are different ways to express a location. A format change changes the representation, not the underlying place. More digits on screen do not improve the accuracy of the original observation.

Do not force an invalid coordinate into a plausible-looking location.

- Check for a misplaced separator or sign
- Obtain a corrected source if needed
Review the result
A copied pair has an extra digit. This is an illustrative scenario, not measured field-test evidence.
Check the source text as well as the formatted result. Rounding, missing signs and an incorrect hemisphere can change the intended place. The app records an input precision estimate for manual coordinates instead of presenting a loosely rounded pair as a fine GPS capture. If the source is ambiguous, obtain a clearer coordinate from the sender before using the place for a return session.
