Keep a display mitigation in perspective.

The field task

A useful display check includes portrait and landscape, your chosen units and a state where GPS is unavailable. Confirm that you can distinguish an unavailable reading from a measured zero. After using the HUD, leave through its exit control and check that the main instrument is still accessible. A familiar exit path is especially important with a fixed mount or a reflected presentation.

Waymark keeps the driving display focused on distance, speed and location state. The HUD offers a directly readable handlebar mode and a mirrored mode for a suitable reflection setup. The app can keep the screen awake during instrument use, and its burn-in protection can dim and slightly shift the HUD over time. Display options affect presentation, not the underlying trip distance.

A repeatable sequence

No app-level animation guarantees that an OLED panel cannot age.

  • Review the preference
  • Observe dimming and small shifts
  • Use the display according to your device needs

After the session

A user plans a long instrument session. This is an illustrative scenario, not measured field-test evidence.

Judge the result on the real screen, in the conditions in which it will be used. A theme preference on a stationary screen does not make every environment equally legible, and the HUD remains deliberately dark. Burn-in protection is a mitigation, not a guarantee against panel ageing. Keep attention on the route and make changes only after stopping in an appropriate place.
